Non-Dealer selling first Panamera in Canada?
I don't get this? The first cars as reported by one of the Porsche people last weekend won't be here until mid-Oct (the cars here Porsche showed us at the GTG) are going home. So why is a used car dealer getting a car before the two local dealers? And how did they get a new car?? Weird.

Because he knows someone at Porsche Canada, PCNA or Porsche AG and flipped him $1000 to deliver him an early unit. Dealers buy cars through ununusual, even unorthodox channels all the time. Doesn't necessarily mean it's illegal, just maybe a bit greasy.

I called and spoke to a rep named Bob, he said the car is one of the first US cars and it will be imported into Canada by the 3rd week of October. When are the Canadian Dealers expecting to get their allotment?

So if true - wouldn't the local dealers blow a fuse over this? Plus, wouldn't the car be subject to inspection for Canadian mod's or has this now a thing of the past as far as just a Transport Canada sticker? It pretty much takes the wind out of the local Porsche dealers when a non-dealer brings in a new car ahead of them. I'd say their clients will be pizzed off to see this car running around Toronto ahead of theirs!
