Possible solution to the Ontario front plate issue?

Bad drivers are the problem. Clueless pedestrians crossing with their heads buried in their phones are also a problem. Ignorant cyclists, namely the Armstrong wannabes are a huge problem… pickups solve problems..

The 3 top selling vehicles in North America are all pickup’s. Do that many people have a real and regular need for them?

15 year old thread ?? take your BLM rhetoric someplace else. Police have an important role, I don't like getting tickets either , but your comment is total BS.

40% women seems high. Even the 16% quoted on the net seems high compared to my experience on the road. When I get back to canada I'll do a quick survey on Yonge st and report back. I suspect on paper the business owner way be a woman but the drivers are men
Speaking of insecurity, a lot of men are finding it hard these days. Driving a big macho vehicle is perhaps an attempt to compensate

Suppose it is effectively no different than every middle-aged white guy driving a Corvette aside from the real impact on a tight street parking situation.

"macho macho man - I wanna be a macho man..."

I don't disagree but there is something to be said for people in the downtown core driving huge pickup trucks for no material reason. Case in point, my neighbour is a hedge fund manager and he street parks his massive Silverado Z71 taking up 1.5 of the minimal spaces on our street. He drives it maybe once a month and this is on top of the SUV in his garage. Nice enough guy but that is a ridiculous use case... contractors, tradespeople, etc totally make sense but this is the definition of the 'macho man' purchase.
