I like Tire Rack when I can get a deal but if the price to my door is a few bucks difference I prefer to shop Canadian. With the current US exchange rate it is working out to be about the same when you factor in shipping, exchange rate and duties.

If you're looking for non track tires check out the buy 3 get the 4th tire free special at 1010tires. They may have the size you want. Sorry all the 235-45-17 tires are all gone after I posted the special on the E39 forum on Maxbimmer forum.

I will never buy Sumis again.....Bad traction on dry and very slipery when wet.
But if you like your tires to squeel...get them.

Y'know, I think you're the FIRST that strongly didn't like them.....good to know though. I've got PS/2's now and while they're really good, they are pricey.

Thanks.

I tell you, if you drive your car on wet pavement, it will spin on take off like a hot knife on butter and you won't be as confident in corners after that.
This is my exprience with them......

My friend around the corner just got some Toyos from Franz on his 88' 930 he just bought. He likes them. I'm going to try getting him out to the GTG's with it.

Kuhmo has a good rep with their MX and XS tires...great value. May not be a PS2 or a Pilot Sport Cup tire, but they also aren't as expensive.

Toyo T1R are good tires...

The car came with Potenzas on it, night and day with the Sumis.(Did I get a bad batch? Don't know)
Google Sumitomo, you are sure to fine some neg feed on them, I did after I got mine......I guess in this case, you get what you pay for.
I'm waiting for those Sumis to die then will consider these BF

That could be the difference. The HTRZIII's are supposed to be better than the II's.... Having said that I've had and liked Toyo's but they're the same price as the Michelins. Kumho might be worth a look. I'm not tracking but I do want very good street peformance and as much as I like my PS2's they are without a doubt the absolute worse tire I've ever had with snow....to the point the're dangerous.
