Do they know your dad's a politician? I think they have a higher rate for them, along with the special place reserved in hell

+1 I took Justin's advice and called her, similar but slightly better price than my old policy, full 19A coverage, no problem. I think it's $160/month in the summer, $30 or so in the winter.

what do you mean won't let me do fire and theft?
I removed my driving portion and just have fire and theft on the 993 in the winter, why can't you do the same?

yeah 2 other cars 1 with full coverage other with just liability. My guess is they gave you wrong info by mistake about fire and theft part.

19a is a sectin that states an agreed replacement value if car is totaled or gone (this amount is firm in stone, not what market is) I think only in Ontario but other provinces may have this.,

Thanks for the welcome 99three. I will try to get out to Artisano's soon. As soon as I get my car out I will get an actual picture of my vehicle rather than the closest look-alike that I could find on the web. :-( As far as insurance goes, I am finding that the rates vary tremendously based on where one lives. Unfortunately, for that purpose I live in Brampton. Belair Direct were $700 more for my Porsche and another $400 for my '98 Subaru Legacy GT. I found that RBC rates really kick butt! See you soon - Glenn

Just a word of caution to all that think they have a 19a rider. Call your insurnace agent and confirm that it is in fact a 19a (agreed upon replacement value) vs. a 19 rider which is not the same thing.

Great tip Justin... very important detail. Bruce Farrow on the UCR site mentioned this on one his forum posts on insurance a couple of years ago.... aso this is a great reminder to all of us.

I called my insurance co. and they said that they have a "19" in quebec as opposed o 19A in Ontario....
the rep told me to fax them the evaluation and they will add it to my file...no additional charge. I found that a little odd that there is no additional premium for that....also, whats the diff between 19 and 19a?

thanks in advance guys.
