Default Insurance Companies - Cheapest Rate

Can i get some referrals to brokers whom you guys in the GTA are insured with? Turns out my ticket isn't coming off my record till 2010 so i need to put the Porker under one of the parent's names.

best quote so far was from a state farm broker who said 2600$ a year full coverage with i think 2000$ deductible.

Is anyone else getting a better rate?

I'm with Primmum insurance (TD Bank)

40, no tickets, no accidents, appraisal of $90k, A1 coverage with full coverage, $5k deductable $1300/year

ends up costing me about $900 for the year as I take everything off but comp for the winter storage.

why are you guys using such high deductibles?
try www.kanetix.com
you should be paying much less.
Gary you should use silverwheelsplan from Lant insurance, for second car not driven daily with low deductble.

it wasn't speeding, that's the worst part.

will call belair as well. so far state farm is still cheapest, and their agents were the most co-operative (i called all the biker friendly ones and they're used to playing the game lol)

+1 on Silverwheels Gary. Far cheaper with a lower deductible.
Omar, did you try RBC? They even honour the 19A.

i might call RBC, i'm not really too concerned with a 19A..i just need a cheap yearly rate lol, we've got the house with em so group discount hopefully.

primmium was less than helpful and just irritating to deal with.

Julian looks like a promising lead and will get back to me 2morrow. its hard to tell whose more damaging to the premium, me at under 25 with a ticket or my dad with 3 minors.

Julian insured me & I dropped Lant.

For others (not you Omar) considering Lant . . . the problems with Silver Wheels:
You must have a daily. Usually not a problem.

Every driver in the house must be the principle driver on a vehicle. This got me & I ignored it - at my peril - for 2 years. My 23 yr old stepson (ex-Room Monkey #1) drove my daily more than me. He was not a principle driver on any car - just occasional. So technically, I was violating the Lant terms & the terms of my daily insurer. This made me very nervous so I finally changed it. Nothing ever happened but if it had . . . ? So if you have driving teens in the house, Silver Wheels might not work.

Very restrictive car use. No work - not even once. No shopping - no quick runs to the beer store.

And needless to say, no track.

Dan... I looked into Silver wheels and the cost for me was the same but with all the restrictions. I can go anywhere in my car and be covered not just a car show, the shop etc.... I drive it to work sometimes and coe home at very late hrs... not many car shows at 1AM

just got a letter from Belair direct that if I have snow tires they deduct 5% discount from my insurance. Just called them and we have snows on our 2 vehicles, saved some $$$ for track days and mods to pcars.

I am new to the forum and to Porsche ownership. I just wanted to say that I found this thread really useful. Thanks guys for the posting. I am looking forward to getting my '98 C4S out of storage and I hope to be able to hook up with you guys if there is a coffee stop on the weekends. (I understand that this has been a bit of a tradition.) I live in Brampton and often stop in to visit Brent Hunter at Hunter Motorsports. (What an awesome guy! Fantastic service from what I can tell and tons of know how!)
