Might be ready on Friday...I'll stop in to check after I get back from BC. Extended warranty covers it for 2 more years past the 1st year oem one. BTW, my console was 13 month old when it croaked.

Yeah we are on our 2nd unit now too. Excellent job done by microsoft, called them and the next day a prolator guy comes to the door with a box. We packed it u p , sent it off, a week later a replacement one shows up. All is great

Comming from a guy that doesn't own one... yet. I'm glad you guys are enjoying the service from Micro soft but to me it sounds like they are trying to make up for design defects...wait til the warranty expires. Then again, if you are enclined to buy the latest and greatest it'll give you an excuse to go shopping.

 

Design defects are too much heat and not enough cooling. They designed the console small so it looks good but its not good for the heat it throws off. MS went from a 1 year warranty to the 3 year warranty and paid all the people back if they paid to have their system repaired.
The 360 is not new or the greatest but it will be around for probably another 5 years before they create a new one to replace it.

 

Sorry I missed the racing this past weekend, but I should be on next weekend.

I would be since I got my xbox back yesterday, but my daughter had friends over for a sleepover last night and they're all in the TV room asleep until noon at least....teenagers!
