Christanza ended up being a really good adition to the Porsche Rennlist team. Though we need to get him a steering wheel like the rest of us.

Some photos from the Races

That was a ton of fun this morning! Will definitely be down for next Sunday.

A wheel and headset are on the shopping list for this week so I'm all set up for next time.

Jumper5836 - what's your secret? Once you passed me there was no catching up. Super quick, man!

No secret really, just need to control the car. I also play with no assists on which really helps you learn control and forces you to be smooth.

No assists!? Double impressive. I've got some practicing to do this week....

Does the wheel come with pedals, as well? Or are the throttle and brake controls on the wheel itself?

Get one of these....I have one with the 360 and it really enhances the gaming experience.

Not a good start to my virtual racing season. I think I got punted out into the walls within the 1st lap of every race! Then on the last one, my screen kept stuttering and shifting to black and white and to add insult to injury, the computer sim car lapped me on the last lap!!... Ugh! I went back to bed and slept off the hangover from last night. Next week I'll be prepared!

I watched some of the races afterwards, you actally were doing ok and u at least were not the cause of the first corner accidents. You also fended off the vettes well but they eventually did end up bumping you off or you ended up not braking soon enough, ending up in the grass.

Some news on the Race game front

There is a new Xbox 360 racing game coming out the Febuary by SimBin
Race Pro

SimBin created GTR2, Race2007 and GTR EVO for the PC, all of which has Mosport, Watkins Glen, and many others as a track you can download.
Let hope that Race Pro will also allow user made tracks to be added to your game. If not I am sure it will still be a great race simulator.

That was quick. I bought my self a cooler for mine and leave in on 24/7. My other 2 consoles were only used a couple hours a day and always turned off when not is use and both got the ring on death during its 13 month of use.
The one a just leave in on now is just starting its 13th month and havn't had the troubles the others had, first thing I noticed was the cdrom didn't reconize the games CD and when playing games the game would just freeze constantly.
Though I have had 2 freezes lately but no other problems.

Mine was bought last December and always gets turned off when not in use and it stands on it's own with plenty of airflow and not in some media cabinet. It got a lot of use in the last 2 weeks with kids and guests playing lots of games, but it's no excuse. It's amazing to me that MS can make such a failure prone product with a +30% fail rate...they really are the Lada of the software/hardware world. BestBuy no longer automatically replace them, so they send them in for repair first. It should be 5-12 days according to the tech there and I kept the HD with me so I wouldn't lose profiles and saved games. I had just logged into Forza and was testing one of the GT3 cup cars on the Laguna Seca track when the screen froze. After a reboot, the red death showed up.

How loud is the cooler? The PS3 is nice because it's quiet but once you start a game it doesn't really matter.

Phil, apparently Microsoft is pretty damn quick about sending back the console. Might have it by Friday?

Hopefully you'll get the new Jasper model it uses a 45nm processor that uses less power, not as much heat etc.
