That's very cool. Just goes to show you that if you start with a good design, it can be evolutionized rather than revolutionized. I can't think of any other car manufacturer that can claim the longevity of any one design.

I love 911s. that being said it has been said that Porsche started with a bad design and perfected it!

In what way as it a bad design? The 356 was one of the most beautiful cars ever built. As were the early 911s, and they just kept getting better.

I had a screensaver that I downloaded from Porsche that had the same morphing effect. Until it disappeared . . .

By way of explaining the enduring design of the car, I heard one guy speculate that somewhere in our evolutionary past there was a critter that looked like a 911 and tasted like chicken...

Well, they have certainly perfected the engineering side of things. From a body style point of view, it was always beautiful.

Shemmers impellers, ignite prematurely, lots of noise and far less performance.
