I must have just missed you Mark. I was just at that C/Tire location. I picked up a shiny new gear wrench set. I can't resist the sale on tools this week. FWIW, the CTEK charger is plugged in and working great! Going to start upgrading some stuff on the 993 this year. Can't wait!

Yup, I permanently attached the connectors to my battery so I could easily plug the CTEK on and off. The grommet adapters were a perfect fit for my battery connectors (10mm). 5 min job.

I meant that the battery bolt and nut on my car use a 10mm wrench and the smallish connector fit with no problem. Guess they made them smaller from the 993 to 996. I bought my at the CDN Tire off Gateway in Edmonton last week...they had a few left. As it is made in China, maybe they're not all that consistent with the size of connectors that come with.

Mine bolted onto my battery directly as well. I have two cars so I switch back and fourth during the winter. I have the wires permanently installed on the 911 and use the aligator clips on the other car. If you only have one car, who don't you just buy two larger connectors and soulder them on yourself. Cheaper than ordering a new part.
