I don't believe that Karygiannis went far enough. Obviously drivers are incapable of controlling their impulse to drive at reckless speed so rather than risk anyone's life why not limit all cars to 5mph and require a runner in front with a red flag.

This guy is a complete waste of skin! I think everyone should cram his mailbox.
BTW: my original email was also cc'd to Stephan Dion, Michael Ignatief (my local MP), and the other moron who seconded the motion.

Not wanting to make this a political podium but both the 50 kph speeding law and now this come from the red camp.

The photo radar was taken down by the blues.

Next election vote anything but red and you won't see red.

Sorry, I'd rather deal with Fantino and BS "safety" laws from the liberals than endure another term of Stephen "really, that's not GWB's *** my lips are on" Harper. Yes these new laws are ridiculous, but there *are* more important things in life.

yeah, it's going to be a tough decision. Can't stand Harper and the Liberals have Dion who comes off as a whinny ferret, and Layton?...wow, had enough of him in municipal politics already. Not a single party is serving up anyone or anything of substance. You get the feeling that it really doesn't matter who gets in, they all end up being incompetent opportunists in the end.
My strategy is to write, email, phone and generally make myself a real pain in the butt with ANY level of government when I don't agree with their policies. I'm pretty sure that TO Mayor David Miller must have a pretty thick file of my complaints this year! I may only be one voice, but it's actually helped to get things changed in my neighborhood. As Canadians we need to become less apathetic and make the dorks we elect more accountable. Fight the system!

I am with you Phil, but what pisses me off is that I feel handcuffed to make a difference. Collectively, we have some great counterpoints to all of the stupidness the so called law makers are proposing and implimenting for our roads. I just don't know how to make a difference or force change. I don't want to live in a police state! I think we all need to get together and get all of our points onto a website. Then we need to go to CityTV and get them to interview us to start the media attention ball rolling. We need to expose the stupidness of our government.
