If you get a chance, stop by the Ferrari dealership in Surrey (called Maranello). I went there last year and they had about 10 older F-cars in the showroom, including an F40 and several racing Ferraris. Also, you can take a look at about 30 new and used modern Ferraris at the time... Enjoy your trip.

If you get a chance, please pick up some Marks & Spencer toffees! They are a must in the UK! I picked up 12 bags from my last trip in June and I just ran out.

When you're in Bonnie Scotland, especially if you get to Edinburgh, make sure to get in a pint of Belhaven Best Extra Cold or Innis & Gunn. They're made locally and are excellent. If you're riding up the east through Yorkshire, make sure to pass through the Yorkshire Dales. All the EVO magazine & Top Gear test drives go through that region. If you're heading up the West through Carlisle make sure to go through the Lake District and across the top of England along Hadrian's Wall. Not to be missed.

I so envy your adventure. Have a great time.

BTW, this thread is worthless without pics!

parents lost my camera and i'm not buying an SLR here...they're too pricey.
i'm abandoning the family tomorrow after the lake district and will head up to the dales.

stiggy,
glad u liked the Formula karts..my buddy helped prep the new ones during his stint and the bridgestone racing school this past year.

.....might be some cause for worry

ok if you're going to the lakes then for sure you have to get the route for the Hard Knot Pass.

Check this out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HDJxSGRf29k

You will never ride anything like it. And you'll thank me at the next GTG. I did it in a Volvo station wagon and it was a rush. I'd well soil myself on a bike.

Buy an SLR from an out of province shop when you get back. You'll save the tax. I can hook you up with a shop in BC. Wait a minute...why am I trying to hook up the man with all the hook ups? Let me know if you need a guy!

Hah, I'm in London myself at the moment. Too many cool cars to list, SLRs, CLK Black, Carrera GTs, 599, TVR with curbed to hell rims parked across the road from me, too many Bentley's to count.

Share any good roads? Drove to Dover today to look at White Cliffs. Well, they weren't lying, they're white.

hey rost! too bad we didn't run into each other.
i didn't get to Dover, but i did get into some of scotland (can't quite remember the roads..i just did 2 tanks of gas one way and 2 tanks of gas back the other with a haggas brake inbetween ). yorkshire dales as others mentioned kick ****.

the lake district has really narrow roads and is a very nice drive. go during the week when everyone is at work and all the kiddies are back to school.
