I had Prochillo Bros. paint and install sideskirts and respray my front bumper this spring ... flawless job. Frank, the manager I dealt with, owns a 993, a real Porsche/car guy.

That sucks. Sorry to hear that.

Naturally - don't sign anything until you're happy. I was hit a few years ago, and opted to pay a bit out of pocket to replace a part instead of having it repaired. That may be an option if you're not satisfied with their quote.

Hey Jag, sorry to hear of this. Wow, that really sucks. Maybe you can get a GT2 wing put on instead? In the interim, if you need to get a fix in the sister car, come on out to Alberta and we'll go for a spin. :-)

BTW, OT, but I just picked up a new car. Heritage Ford GT. NICE!!

Turns out i was a little too optimistic on the timeline.

Good news - no structural damage - rear lid/spoiler, both rear lights (one was just a minor scratch, but they replaced it anyway) and air box were replaced. The Prochilo guys seem very meticulous about the work. Car is finally done and off to DFC today for certification/roadtest etc. Then, flat bed back to Prochilo for final cleanup and polish. Should be able to pickup by Tuesday.

Bad news - it took almost two months - had to wait for all the rear wing assembly from the Fatherland

Ugly - think the insurance company got dinged with approx 35K!!!! Cost of OEM parts i guess. I will know the exact number on Tuesday, but the last i checked it was at about 30K and counting.

Believe me, I have been chuckling for two months now- the only silver lining in all of this - particularly after they tried to strong arm me into taking my car into the local gas station/body shop here in London to get it fixed!!!

In the interim if you need a speed fix come to TO for the next meet, I'll take you for a ride.
