You know how some people only like to drink expensive French wine with fancy lables on a cool looking bottle. Some of the local $10 wine can be just as good if not better. Give it a try.

I havn't really paid attention to the GTR. Now after seeing it, glad I didn't waste my time.
There is nothing from the looks of that car that would ever have me wanting it. Not even if I won the lottery.

Stops on a dime...a little bit better than an Audi.

Guys, the GTR is a Porsche rival in performance, not in looks. A Porsche will always be a Porsche and the beautiful lines have been around for 40 years. I have never heard anyone saying it is a more beautiful car.
With that being said though, I like the look of the new GT-R. Maybe not compared to a 911 or a Ferrari, but as a stand alone new car design. Unique front grill, unique rear quarter window, nice front fender ducting, etc.

Why not if the car is as good as they say it could set the lap record around Mosport for a street car. ...oh sorry Apex is not officially a timed event.

Ok, that was really bad.
But you do have to admire how Nissan employed the old "911 killer" marketing strategy, this time around. For months, I can't buy a car mag without some comparo article. The buzz is fairly ridiculous, actually, considering the R8 fell out of the spotlight faster than Ricky Martin!

that thing fell off the fugly truckor should I say was broadsided by it!
one of the problems I have with the japanese cars is in most instances 5 years the styling looks so outdated and makes you wonder what they were thinking (especially true of Nissan). this one does it out of the box!
wheels did a comparison to 997tt on saturday and much prefered the pcar.

I prefer the Porsche too.....
a 997TT would be awesome, but I can have the GTR and, well, another GTR, and still have change left over for say, a Murano, for the same money......lol......
I like it, and there's no arguing it's performance......it certainly isn't a Porsche, and never will be, but it sure will eat a few.....

Looking at the photo, I suspect we live within a block or two of each other. I haven't seen the car in the metal, but I would like to have one for a track day and then return it asap! Would you agree that our neighborhood is the Mini capital of Canada?
Cheers
