Default Cops in BC come up with new way to slow people down

... placing cardboard cutouts of cops holding radar guns beside the road

Staff Sgt. Ralph Pauw said even if drivers realize it's just a cutout cop, they won't know for sure if there's a real officer concealed behind it, the Vancouver Sun reported Friday.

Pauw said at a news conference that in brief field tests earlier this week "a tow-truck driver pulled up and started talking to it," the report said.
Similar tactics have been used in Texas, where fake police cars are placed in speeding zones, and several years ago state conservation officials in West Virginia used a robotic deer to track poachers.
And so the game continues ...

I think ti would be awesome to start stealing those things and placing them in weird spots all over the city.

And perhaps replace the radar guns with more amusing objects.

I even had one hidden in my garage for awhile with all these street signs then I was in the hospital so about a year later my Dads cleaning out the garage and finds all these signs I forgot about 9/16ths

Personally, I would much prefer the Danish method to slow cars down

Great, now I have an excuse to use my full size cut out for 2 or more person communter lanes.
