Unfortunately I had a flat after 3 laps. Fortunately it did not happened at Mosport.

Did the drive in two stages. Stopped at the outlaws in Oakville, for lunch.
Drive home from there wasn't pleasant, all highway.

The cut was in the sidewall, not repairable as far as I know.

Yeah you're doing the right thing getting new tires; it was not repairable.

The spare collapsible tires in modern 911's (starting with the 964) is a safety device for front impact collision and is not designed to be used as a spare tire really. On a 993, it can only be used on the front wheels. If you get a flat rear tire, you are supposed to put one of your front tires to replace the rear flat tire and put the spare on the front. Too much work, I would call the flatbed truck.

I think you can order one if you want but I don't know if it fits the AWD models.

On a 993, it can only be used on the front wheels.
Fortunately it's a 996.
