Whhhhhat! What a nice example too, I like the white&white wheels. My dad was looking for a new car but somehow I think $255,000 might be a tad much hahaha.

I'm looking at you Jamie, sell your other non-carrera gt cars and pick this bad boy up. The white would contrast well with the CGT black.

That's a lot of coin! Wouldn't it make more sense to pick up a slightly used 997 TT in the states, convert it to RWD, put it on the "Ultra Slim Fast" diet, drop some GT3 seats and do some chip and exhaust tuning? I bet you'd get pretty close to the same performance while saving 100K.

Yeah from browsing 6speed it looks like the stock Turbo can take 700hp on stock internals. I saw a 997TT go for $99,800 on Ebay Of course that's an anomaly but yeah.

I have to say, I did think about the GT2,but for me personally the GT3 RS seemed to be a better fit for what I wanted. I just like the simplicity of the thing. I have put an advance deposit down on the first 998 RS whenever it shows up in a few years, (not the facelift 997 car).
Obviously, thats why there is choice, I guess. Probably I am in the minority.

I agree with you Ronan. I think the GT3's and GT3 RS are more interesting. I always prefer normally aspirated over turbo or kompressor.

You know it must suck when you bid $255K - and still not make the reserve.

I don't like the look of it. Seems way over priced for what it is.

I'm OK for power right now. Chasing a Z06 with dynoed 525hp at the wheels. There was nothing between us on the backstraight.

Lightly broken in on the autobahn in February on a Euro delivery... bah, ha, ha, pass. I respect your grey 996 turbo but there's no way you're putting down this kind of power. Stock GT2 to Stock Z06 http://www.autocar.co.uk/VideosWallp...AR=231915&CT=V

My Car is far from Stock, same as the Z06.

And I think I'll buy another one as a back up, with the difference in the price.

What's been done to your car to make it so fast?
