I would say Henry is definitely worth a try for your 944. He is competent and reasonable.

I agree wtih AM993. Henry has been great for me. Reasonable, knowledgable and his shop is (was anyway) clean and orderly - just the way I'd like it.

Actually for the 944 what you want to find is a mechanic who knows the 944 cars and Henry certainly qualifies, your're in good hands!

Edit: Just got back from dropping off my car. What a place! Super slick. They sell Ferraris, for God's sake. And Henry had not one but two 356s in totally mint shape. Worth going just to look at the cars, it's an open-air museum!

Henry has been in business since 97 and had some bad luck with landlords selling, it has forced him to move 3 times at his own expense.

He apologizes for the inconvenience but it was beyond his control.

In my opinion Henry has one of the greatest reputations in the Porsche community. Hard to beat a guy like Henry who was factory trained by Porsche in Stuttgart worked there for 6 years, was shop foreman for 20 years at Downtown Fine Cars (Porsche Dealer), and has 40+ years working on these fine machines especially at fair prices.

Personally I wouldn't trust anyone else with my Porsche.

who brought this thread back to life, welcome to three years ago!!! Henry's great with transmissions but everything else is hit and miss. I think he over charges.

Henry has two lifts in the back of GTA motorcars, the rest of it is Leo's, my mechanic. Yes, that is my car thats been sitting there all winter.
