My experiences have been mixed. Very early on - he gave me some great deals on some OEM new parts. But I think he just didn't know what he was doing.

Since then - I've picked up parts that haven't fit - haven't worked and/or have been crazily priced.

Now - with him SO far away - going there (which was really fun when he was in town) it's just a hassle (let alone the times you go up and he's CLOSED!)

If you're gonna run a business with hours posted on your website - you gotta honour them OR say "call first". I know several hi-end stereo dealers that work by appt only and that's fine, because they set that expectation up front.

But he offers a crucial service and has expanded - but he kinda reminds me of the Leafs - he sucks - but people go anyway.

Nice guy, bad business man.I was looking for a tach for a 993 way overpriced and was in tough shape. I wanted to see where his price was in compared to the dealer, took a run up to Pfaff and for a new tach .....wait for it..............the dealer was cheaper on a new part.

He has more screws loose than all the overpriced crap he has for sale. He's a shifty guy, and I think he has difficulty telling the truth. If he were the last Porsche auto-recycler, I'd sell my car.

I've had several experiences with him, always resulting negatively.

I'm more than happy to give someone credit where it's due, or even if it's not, for the benefit of the doubt.... but because we're a tightly knit community, I'd rather speak out about my experiences to save others (my pals) from an unfortunate situation in the future.

....cus... I love you guys.... and clive, I have your pliers sitting cozily in my tool box, ready to be returned.

My experience was that Frank is either not knowledgable enough or doesn't care enough to provide the service to find the right parts. Even if he does, his prices are so high it is not worth even trying to negotiate... Dismantlers in the states are always cheaper and more accurate in my experience.

I had really hoped that Frank would be better... A good local guy would be awesome and get a lot of business from me and my friends...

Frank is a ******** and a terrible businessman. He's got a foot-in-mouth problem that is going to get him into serious trouble. The only guy I deal with for used is Randy at Whaletail... he is honest. He wants you to come back. If you have a problem he will rectify it. He does haggle too.

Example:

I asked Frank about a transaxle and he quoted me a ridiculous price, then I asked him, "what if its no good?' He replied, "then you come back and buy another one."

Not this camper. No way I'll deal there again. Don't get me started on the "968" wheels he sold me...

Well.........my stuff showed up today........one rear windshield glass without a defroster, one chrome door frame and two sunvisors.

The items are exactly what I asked for, I am very pleased with their excellent condition, his representation of them at the time of sale, and the overall service experience.

I will be a repeat customer of Nine Apart.

I found their prices too high.

For example I was looking for a 964 engine undertray, Porscheapart wanted $400 + shipping, I asked if he confused the part since most 964 owners can't give the tray away, he said his price was a steal I got it on Pelican classifieds for $50 shipped. Infact, I buy all my used parts from Pelican or Rennlist members. The prices are fair and community is excellent!

Yeah, my preference at all times is to use Rennlist members -- the community is awesome.

As for Nineapart, I think there are two things at play. First, you gotta win the guy over for a lower price. Second, you gotta bargain.
