Clear bra installation in Toronto

paint beneath it.
I'm sure it doesnt have the gloss of the X layers of zaino,
but there is no pronounced difference betw the look of
the bare paint and the look of the paint with the film on top.
If I am up close, of course I can see the film, but
from 5 feet, it's not something that jumps out at me.

Sorry for chiming in so late. Here's a few pictures of installs we've performed for reference. I'm sure some of you might recognize a few of these cars. All vehicles have at least Hood, Fender, Mirror, Front Bumper and Rocker Panels protected. While the black Carrera GT has the entire vehicle covered, with the exception of the rear bumper.
Cheers,
Marco

To my eye, the effect of the film looks the same as the
paint beneath it.

paint is free...wraps cost me $$$
i might do a test-wrap of the front end to see how it looks, but the car should be painted methinks.
anyhow..i dont want to drag the original thread off the topic of the 3M-ing

These guys claim to have a better product than 3M:
http://www.ventureshield.com/
Has anyone got any feedback on either product?

Ok, if you matte-out your paint and then slap on the film, IMO it
will look f*d up because yes, the film will give a gloss quality
to the colour of your paint.
It would be like putting a clearcoat over the matte.
Again, JMHO.

Dead-Eye - If you had a matte finished paint the clear bra would be more noticeable, as it has a clear coat or gloss finish. This came up during an installation on a Gallardo Nera, where the center of the hood is gloss black and the sides are flat black.
There are 3 major film manufacturers that we offer our customers; 3M, VentureShield and Xpel. There have been many discussions on forums as to the pros and cons of each. Some people like the 3M name and stick with it. However, 3M film is manufactured with an orangepeel in it. This is quite visible on darker colours(See attached pics of the BMW). VentureShield however, has no orangepeel. It's very clear!(See attached pics of the Audi) The majority of our work is high-end and exotic vehicles, and the majority of my exotic owners are enthusiasts who have experience with 3M in the past....and they've all gone to VentureShield! Barrington made reference to the clarity of his film, it's VentureShield.
