FS: 1991 Polar Silver C2
Bought it last summer and haven't driven it 2000km. I'm in Toronto and it's an original Canadian car. Car now has around 89000 KM (55 000 miles).
Brand new tires and brakes, Cup 1s, LSD, sport seats, CD-changer, original radio w/upgraded Rockford speakers.
Drives like new and looks as new. New battery a few weeks ago. Lose trim piece in the trunk is the only issue. Sunroof works and it doesn't leak. might have at one point as there are water stains on its underside.
Downpainted rockers were a factory option.
All power functions work. Don't know what else to say really...want to buy a 996 or maybe a Viper...
Car was PPI by Calgary dealer and then saftied in Toronto.
$40,000CDN ONO ($34,000 US)

That is a nice car !!!......I saw it at the dealer here when it was getting PPI'd last year.
I just delivered a 1996 993 with 67kms for $55K + GST......so at your price of $40K it's not even close to the 993 price range for good examples. Rough and/or high mileage 993's are in the $40K+ range however.
FWIW I sold these at the dealer when they were new, and though it is of no consequence, the 90-91 cars came with black rockers panels and black lower mouldings on the front and rear bumper covers.......it was not an option to paint them body color........only from 92-94 were painted body color by the manufacturer.
You should have no problem selling it......exceptional 964's are verrrrry difficult to find.

I wonder if maybe this is a very late 91? The paint on the rockers definitely looks factory - it has a clear coating over it. When the dealer did the PPI the tech said that the only respray was the rear passenger-side fender and that it was done properly and there must have been minimal damage.
I don't know if the painted rockers would show on the option codes anyway but here's what it does have:
Code Option Description
139 Seat Heating - Left
220 Locking differential
286 High intensity windscreen washer
288 Headlight washer
288 996: Light washers
340 Seat heating - Right
383 Sport seat - left
387 Sport seat - right
425 Rear wiper
454 Automatic speed control
494 2 speakers on back shelf
494 Amplifier system
650 Sunroof
691 CD-Player "CD-1" with Radio
C36 Canadian type car
pongobaz - I saw a 996 with 130K on it for $32K and I figured I could get one of those and drive the wheels off it for a few years.

It's possible it was late production car....check the production date on the door jamb sticker. Regardless, it sure looks a lot better painted body color than the black trim which was used on the early cars.
Metallic paint was also an extra cost option, although it is not shown on the list since there was no specific code for it.
MSRP on that car when new was around $96K...........the chargeable options were the CD player, metallic paint, sport seats, heated seats and the LSD. Everything else was part of the C36 Canadian spec package and included in the base price of $89,900......
