Where do you shop for shoes...
It's February - Spring is in the air (or so I wish) - and I'm having some serious withdrawal.
Some people will probably need tires soon, so I'm wondering:
1. where everyone shops for tires
2. what tire did you choose?

1. Local or tiretrends.com (depending on deal)
2. I have the cheap kumho 712's, but I only used my car for long distance highway driving. My driving habits have changed since then and my next tires will probably be S-03's or similar quality.

1. Tirerack.com cheaper than anything I could find in Canada even after exchange, duty, GST, shipping & brokerage. THey sent them directly to Autowerks who charged me $100 to mount and balance them. I saved $400 doing it this way with absolutely no hassles.
2. Bridgestone Potenza SO2A. Porsche approved N rating. I was pretty happy with the last set and until they get close to the wear bars, they are pretty quiet for such a wide tire (rears are 295/30/18 on my car)

Will the 295's fit neatly on a narrow body 993?
I can't wait for spring!

+100 for Tirerack in the US. After Duty/Tax/Customs, I still saved almost $300.00 (25%) on my winter tires set.
I am currently running Bridgestone SO3s, which are now discontinued. My mind is already made up for Michelin PS2 whenever it's replacement time.
By the way, I do not think that the 295s will fit on your NB (only for wide bodys).

I'm running Michelin PS2's on my GT3 and I still can't find the rears (295/30/18) for under $600 CDN each up here. Bringing them in from Tire Rack is looking pretty good.

Local Toronto Tire Shop
Toronto Tirecraft (905-760-1130), contact owner Jeff Wenzel tell him Mark Lue refered you. They are located on Pellar Road south east of Jane & Hwy#7 in Concord, you can see the shop from HWY#407.

The shop may NOT look like much but don't let that fool you these guys know performance tires; after all they operate the tire support truck for the CASC Ontario Regional Race series and prepare alot of the tires used on track cars and in the CASC Ice Racing series as well.
I used to buy my tires from Tire Rack but after getting a tire with a defect belt that "stressed me out beyond reason", I decided it was better to just buy local.
Just my 2 cents.
