I have an appointment Feb 21st with the prosecutor.

Default Final update

Me and 30 other people met with the prosecutor.
He offered me $60 fine and changed it to disobeying an official sign. No points.
It was 3 points and I think around $160.
He was a bit of an arrogant *****. But it must suck to be stuck in that body
Everyone went into court together to admit guilt to the court of the new charges.
Looks like everyone was pleaded out. All of the speeding fines were taken down to 15 over unless you had something like 110 in a 60, and then they split it down the middle.
Only one person got away with nothing. They didn't sign her agreement and she was just allowed to go.
It was worth the 2 hours.
The prosecutor does have a copy of the ticket, so I don't know if it was in the Porsche if he would have offered me anything.

Hey Rod, thanks for the update - I've got my date on Mar. 19 in Brantford, so I need all the info I can get. Did they explicitly offer "no points"? That's my big concern. I don't mind a fine up front, just not the change in insurance rates.

Hey Chris,
Yes he did say no points. I would not have gone for it otherwise.
He did tell me that the insurance company will have access to the new charge and put my insurance up if they want. My concern is if I get another ticket. My understanding is you can have 1 ticket on your record, but if you get a second one they screw you.
How many points do you lose doing 200 in a 100 zone ?
