GTG in the GTA 10am Saturday

Ever notice that there is always some ******* that arrives in the lot, looks around kind of oblivious and then parks his minivan right smack in the middle of a pack of Porsches & Vettes? I could never figure that out but maybe they liked that game from Sesame Street "one of those things is not like the others, one of those thing just doesn't belong..."

Almost got run down by a couple of "blue hairs" in the Artisano lot who just had to park their POS right where we were standing...you guessed it: between 2 Porsches.
Yeah, the 'vette guys are doing their first cruise this Sat starting off from the Sherway parking lot. Mark (cdn wolf) has an open invitation for any rennlisters who want to tag along.

This Sat looks like partly cloody at this point, but I'll still be there. Yup, going to "shift into spring" again this year...it should be much, much better than last year's since it is once again open to everyone.
Must resist, must not spend too much on swag... (keep repeating once and hour).

Chapters GTG discussion about yellowing headlights
About a week and a half ago...talked with another Porsche owner about a product I had seen advertised that may resolve yellowed headlight lenses. Promised to post here...
Found it at the following site:
http://www.canadiantechnician.com/
Search for "headlight" yielded the following description...
Canbuilt Manufacturing has released a new product to complement its line of headlight alignment systems. The Headlamp and Plastic Resurfacer/Protector removes the yellowed, oxidized plastic from the headlight lens, renewing the original appearance of the lamp, saving hundreds of dollars in headlamp replacement A special protectant is applied to the lens to restore the shine and protect it from the damaging rays of the sun and elements of the harsh environment. The three-step process takes only minutes per lamp to perform and the product can be used on all yellowed, oxidized plastic surfaces including: turn lights, tail lights, motorcycle or boat windshields, helmet visors, emergency vehicle light bars, plexiglass, and lexan. The process brighten the headlamps’ output to increase visibility up to 40 per cent. Reach Canbuilt Manufacturing at 1-888-607-2926. Canbuilt “It’s an ideal association of products” said marketing manager Russ Murdock. “Marketing headlight alignment systems brings awareness to the technicians and public of the necessity of correctly aligned headlamps. Now being able to brighten those same headlamps will increase the visibility of the vehicle, sometimes up to 40 per cent, thus making the roadways safer at a very affordable cost”.
I used to have a subscription to this mag, and found it helpful. I haven't used the product myself, but it sounds like it would fill a need for some car owners.
Regards,
DaveL

Zookie,
The GTG is not at Autowerks this Saturday, it's always at our usual location. If Autowerks (or others) are doing something the same day, it really has nothing to do with our meets and people are free to chose which ones they want to attend. Personally, I would prefer if the Dexter/Autowerks events were at a later time (like in the afternoon) instead of exactly when ours are held, then maybe I'd go to both. In the future, announcements of other GTGs should not be posted in the GTA GTG thread but in their own separate threads; let's try to avoid confusion here.
