Nice to meet everyone this morning. There was a nice selection of cars from classic to current! Can't wait until the temps get well into the 20's. I was the fellow with the orange Boxster S.
Andrew, may I get a copy of the pics that you snapped? Ken, thanks for the insight on the spark plug tube removal - I will most likely be doing this myself at some point.
Cheers!

George,
Good to chat with you too, your son shows some interest in the P-cars!
Your Boxter S may not have spark plug oil tubes, IIRC the later model 996 engines (i.e. MK II from 2003 forward) do not have these oil tubes, the oil control O-rings can only be changed through some major disassembly of cylinder head.

Hey Ken,
the 2005-2008 engines do have spark plug tubes as per:
http://www.pelicanparts.com/techarti...gs_-_Coils.htm
I was thinking of replacing my plugs in the fall or next spring and really want to get back into DIY. My wife wants me to trade-down for a Prius C or Corolla to compliment our Venza. The battle continues.....
Update: You are correct, the plastic tubes were replaced with metal pieces that are replaced during an engine rebuild. You know your stuff!
Cheers!

Well George, does this mean you won't be renting my oil tube extractor tool for $10 a day which cost me $2 in parts from Home Depot/Partsource and 30 seconds to assemble?

Looks like I will not be needing your 2 dollar wonder. Perhaps you should try to flog it on the forums. Just watch your back.......
Cheers!

Great time!
Hi everyone. I had a great time seeing the cars & talking to the you on Saturday.
It was my first time out, & it won't be my last. I work most Saturdays so the next one I get off & the weather is nice I will be out again. All the cars looked great!
George, PM me your email address & I'll send you the pics of your Boxster S
Cheers

Car is now washed....
It was brought to my attention Saturday that the cleanliness of my car was "sub-par".... so I got home and gave her the royal treatment: oil change, full vacuum, and a good washing!
Great seeing everyone Saturday, looking forward to more nice weather for the weekends to come!

Clive: My photography skills are at about the same level as the camera I'm using (iPhone). Thought the reflection was pretty cool though, glad you like!
