I just picked up a set of sport seats from a 81 930.
What can I say, they are 25 years old.
I'm looking to clean, condition and dye the seats myself.
Any reccomendations?
I understand quite a few of the brands have chemicals in them that will kill the leather over time.
I second LEATHERIQUE! I have done my seats a couple of weeks ago and the result is beyond my expectations. For old/hard leather, LEATHERIQUE suggests that you repeat the operation 2 or 3 times, 1 or 2 weeks apart. I am convinced that even carboard would turn soft...
You can order from Leatherique Canada by telephone, delivered in the mail a couple of days later: www.leatheriquecanada.ca

Yeah, Leatherique all the way. It softens really well & smells good. He met my wife in a BMW dealer lot on a Sunday. Kind of like a drug deal . . . but no shipping fee!
Where can you pickup Leatherique? Anywhere special?
Richard.
This stuff worked really well, but because the seat were in pretty good condition I used very little.
I sell half for what I paid for it if anyone wants it.
Keep it & re-apply in 2 months. Then do it once or twice a year to keep them soft. Otherwise, they'll just dry out & harden again. You have to feed leather.
