Bravo! Très belle bagnole et quelle bonne façon de commencer à la connaître lors d'un long trajet comme celui que tu viens de faire. Félicitations!
BTW: I also bought my car from a fellow rennlister and the previous owners are all members who keep in touch with me now. It's great to know the pedrigree of the car and how it's been cared for by other enthusiasts.

Great Job Pierre
my absolute favorite car although out of my range right now. I spend a fair bit of time staying at the Chateu Frontenac so I will be looking or you ... PS did you have much hassle importing it ?

Well, I used a broker for the importation (Affiliated).
The procedure is pretty well explained here...
http://www.riv.ca/
Basically, the procedure is the following:
1-Find the car (toughest part...)
2-Agreement with seller (price, PPI, ...)
3-What we did is we signed an agreement, sent a deposit to the seller and he sent its title to the US border (the title needs to be at the border at least 72 hours before you pick it up).
4-I went there and pickup the car, giving the balance of the money to the seller
5-Drove it back to the border where the title was waiting for me (best part of the process by far!!)
6-Stop at the US Border first to pickup the title
7-Go to the commercial side of the Canadian Border and meet the broker (they already filled up documents and stuff and are known by customs folks so easier process...)
8-Once cleared, they give you a Form #1 that you will need
9-Have the car inspected and Form #1 filled
10-Then you go for licences...
For insurances, all they asked me to see is the inspection document so they know the car was not involved in any accident. They already had the car info with the VIN number.
Not very complex but a Logistic challenge if your are on a tight schedule.
Hope it helps...
