I may just have found my "Magic carpet ride" : 84 928s black/black with 17 Porsche turbo twist wheels etc.. will post pics if/when I pick it up. I have 2 weeks to arrage a PPI in GTA, so where is the place to go. Thanks.

I when with HPCars @ $150. The tech's name is Ziggy @ 416.752.7280
Mario is a nice guy but a sales rep so Ziggy is the one to contact.
The beast is going under the knife on Wednesday AM
Will keep you "abreast" of the "denouement" and post pics of adoption.

Bill, the PPI is on the 29th next week, so I don't know yet. Hopefuly everything will be OK.

I stand corrected Thanks Jaak for the clarification! Nobody toled me he was the proprietor....
BTW, I did "deal" with him and was transfered to "Ziggy" (Mario's own word).
I also toled him (Mario) that he was highly recomended by a rennlist member (that would be you!)

Dan ... He will give you a good written PPI on the car as his wrench's are good! He does not BS looking for extra work ... he is straigth shooter. Good service equals future customers who keep coming back. Sieg = ziggy (Germans, eh!)

If you mean autoforum.com in Etobecoke, no I did not see it there. The ad was from a private seller in the neighbourhood of the GTA, erea code (905), from my email & conversation with the gentleman, looks like an allright/generous individual. Had no problem going wherever for the PPI.

Suit yourself... but please don't be like the other porsche owners in the region and at least wave at my 911! Can you believe that I get snobbed by boxster ppl all the time?

They are pretty strict for the inspection. Make sure you have all your originals with you (title, etc) or else they won't let you leave with your car until you show up with them... Ask me how I know?!?!

I'm sure you realise my comment was in gest....even though I'm realy a loner type person (was born like that), not to keen on advance booking type situations, I prefer the "unexpected". I also like to cruz at night, less trafic and cooler to (as in less warm). If I do get this one - and I hope I do - I will probably be at those old car gatherings on wednesday or is it saterday nights in Orleans or Gatineau, lots of interesting machines and ppl to meet. Hope to see you there!
