i have replaced mine a few times - my advise get the glass from Porsche Dealer it is the best quality, all other are crap quality
It took a year and a half for them to replace the windshield on my 86. They reinstalled it multiple times and in total it was there for about 6 weeks and it's still not right.
I got my boxster windshield replaced probably 7 yrs ago at a Speedy(?) franchise.... I've had a very annoying whistling above 120kph ever since..... I did make an appointment for them to look at it, but it was during the height of the pandemic, and I didnt feel like going for a test drive with the tech to demonstrate....
I really should get it looked at... I think it's an issue with the rubber trim.

dealers farm out windshield replacement to a subcontractor that comes in once or twice a week. Setting glass in older P cars is difficult and not everyone knows how. Better yet gets even more complex with rust at the bottom of the a pillar
