2015 911 GT3 $129K CAD ONLY!!
Hey members. I have a buddy that is looking into this 991.1 GT3 but we live in Calgary and the GT3 is located in Richmond BC.
Anyone has any intel on this car? Price point is great for $129K for a 911.1 GT3.

Thanks!!!

No intel but check what engine version it is running and when it was replaced. If it hasn't been replaced I'd avoid it. Wouldn't be surprised if there was a claim too.
Definitely a good price relative to the market (actually below MSRP!) but high mileage for a GT3... always nice to see it being used as intended. If it is running a G series engine and is clean otherwise could be a good buy.

From the vin this car looks like it was built after my 2015 was. Mine was built after the major engine fixes so it wasn't replaced like most of the 2014 cars. I believe they revised the engines again in 2016 but were also replacing any engines that ate their cams/followers even after their original warranty. I haven't kept up on these cars though and they are coming up on 10 years now.

3.8 detonation is a real thing.
find out exactly what engine code is in that car and start from there.
a thorough PPI is needed.
If there’s remaining extended warranty on that engine, you can pay Porsche heavily to extend a 2 year warranty on it but it has to pass their CPO standards - and, that’s only IF it’s still got remaining coverage from the 10 year ****show that is the 3.8 saga.

I know for sure of a place you can have a PPI done on it, either Metric Auto on Clyde Ave in Ottawa or Autobahn in Kemptville.
equal distance apart from Richmond.

I believe this is the same GT3 that was sold by Audi Newmarket almost a couple of years ago for about $135k. Good amount of track time, and had various engine repairs performed.
I would def get the Carfax and check the history/service reports. Reason for this car still not sold.

I inquired about this 4 months ago. When they were asking 138k then bumped it up to 145k then dropped it to 133k now 129k. Not G engine code. Seen abuse for sure if you look into the history. I could not get porsche NA to honor replacing the engine without taking it to a dealer to tear it apart for for inspection.
Seemed like to much of a gamble. Also time is limited as the 7 year engine replacment warranty will run out shortly.

That is pretty much local to me, if you guys decide to proceed and want a third party to take a look at it or get some pics you can shoot me a DM and I’ll see what I can do.

Autobahn Tuning is 10 minutes away from that car….Todd is very competent and trustworthy. Buy it subject to a PPI and verification to the series/ history of that motor. I like the car as a track car and occasional driver - would be a lot of fun.
