I usually ask people that have a capable car if they track it. The same as I ask someone with a boat if they fish. It's the things I love to do and want to share experiences.

Yeah that is cool .. and it gives them the opportunity to have a discussion around if they do or they don't and why.

Yeah that hurts, but pros do that as well.

Exactly why I take a Porsche Track Experience every year and use "their" cars. Trouble is, once you are on the track, street driving is downright boring. My GTS saw 1302 km last summer on public roads. Plus the PCA's silly inspection rules after seeing what one of their "recommended shops" did to a 911, fat chance they will get anywhere close to any of my cars.

This is the track I safely and relatively cheaply get my thrills on. 90 kph feels pretty fast when your but is 4 inches off the track. Drive 10/10ths and I've only wrecked 1 kart over the decades which I of course did not have to pay for. Louis Hamilton still karts so if it's good enough for him...

PM'd you the RL link that was in this folder back in 2014.

I love all those "licenced" trades. I don't give a rat's a$$ what certificates they have hanging on a wall. Show me what you can actually do.

You should check out K1 Karting at Downsview Park. They may do 40kmh but it's a fun time.

The best mod is driver aka track training, end of story, simply because the average owner cannot drive their "stock" car anywhere to the limit.

...People have different interests and priorities and I respect that. There are people who collect cars and keep them at delivery miles, people who see hot cars as investments, people who really enjoy working on or modifying their vehicles, these who track or rally, those who actually race, and those for whom cars and coffee is a pleasant few hours with friends. I do a few of these things but not others, and have no criticism of people who make different choices than I do.

Agreed. Spend your money how you want and use your purchase as you want. Who cares what others think. Some people get annoyed when someone has a GT car and doesn't track it. WGAF. It actually reeks of jealousy IMO.
