Beautiful car indeed. I think with ceramic coatings, owning a black car is much easier than before.

 

I spoke to the owner last Tuesday or Wednesday when it was first listed. I was prepared to buy it at his estimated price, but wanted time to get it inspected. The car owner also owns the website that it is being auctioned on and that feels like double dipping to me. We’ll see if it meets reserve…

The challenge with this car is that it was unregistered for 17 years. The seller claims that the motor is bone dry, but with sitting for that long and never having any gaskets replaced, I’d need to verify that claim. I’ve never seen a 25 year old car of any brand that is bone dry without having gaskets replaced.

 

It's funny...you can build pretty much the exact equivalent today...

 

Re; above - Beautiful but, for me, too big, too heavy, not bullet-proof air kooled motor, not as involving, etc. If I was buying a new car today, it'd be the latest Lotus. That's a beauty Mark. GLWP........

Thanks Ronnie…have 3 I’m considering…this one, a local red/black cab that need roof work and an expensive Arena Red/Tan cab that needs nothing. Fresh KW coilover suspension plus all within the past 2 years:
1. Full Ceramic Coating with new PPF on front and rear fenders
2. New pads and rotors on all 4 corners
3. Valve Cover gaskets replaced
4. Oil changed every 6 months.
5. Transmission oil changed
6. New air filter
7. Fuel filter changed 2022
8. cabin air filters changed
9. aluminum gas cap with Porsche logo detail, PPF and ceramic coating)
