Congrats on the new car Ronan. You are doing life right by driving these things.

Perfect colour pick on the new RS... Like your previous 7.2, but also like one the two options available on the 996 GT3 RS (which was love at first sight for me).

The 996 RS was a very much underappreciated car and was pretty much a track car (like the current one)...They are very valuable now aa only about 500 were made as I recall. Here is one I saw at the Ring in 2010:

Holy smokes what an adventure. Shipping your car to Europe to drive it there...wow. No chump change I'm sure, but a great adventure.

Unfortunately we didn't have the same experience with Anje. She was our SA on our FIRST Porsche (a Macan GTS). Her lack of attention to our needs left us wanting more. Ultimately we eventually sold that Macan and moved into Panameras, Taycans, 911, etc. but at a different GTA dealership. So far with positive experiences.
Thanks for the great story. It's inspirational for sure.

Cool story, thanks for sharing and nice pics!

However, this is an exception to the rule, especially these days. Like everything these days, competition is fierce!

I miss Germany, what a wonderful country!

For sure wait times are very long . I put a deposit on the car so long ago that it escaped the luxury tax and I did not have to pay an extra $30k. As it was it cost over twice what the 997 cost.

Agree re Germany. I have driven thousands of km there and have seen places like Berlin changed beyond recognition.

I am sure we will bump into each other at some Porsche event-I recall seeing you at the Rare Shades meet at the Aga Khan museum.
