Not all SAs and customers are created equal. The guy who comes into the dealership and meets the worst SA and tries to buy an entry level sports car is going to get a different treatment than a wealthy CEO with a history of buying top of the line cars dealing with the dealerships best SA

Experience varies - in my case , walking in with a zero Porsche history and dealing with a complete stranger I had an excellent experience.

Of course there are some bad SAs. I had great experience with Honda and Toyota in the past , great experience with Jeep in the US, mixed experience with Mercedes and very mixed experience with BMW. Terrible experience with some others and walked.

One thing for sure, anyone contemplating buying any sort of porsche sports car, new or used better be member of this forum to get themselves informed. I only became an active participant only after my not-so-great dealer experience a few years ago

I don’t want to take away too much as this is more of a celebratory thread.

i reached out to Antje in 2018 for my first Gt3. On Ronan’s good experiences. At that point I was trying all dealers in the country. As my historical dealer and home dealer was not going in favour. Cars going to bigger overall spenders and run around from my historical dealer(this had to do with my SA being low on the pole). She was pleasant about it and it was basically not enough cars, I think she was being genuine. Knowing what I know now about the good dealers is that they take care of their longer term customers, volume of purchases isn’t necessarily a criteria for the long term customer. Other dealers are more focused on $$$$$$$$ you bring the dealership as primary criteria.

Thank you for sharing your journey.
Just curious what the process is like when you ship your car back to Europe to track it? Hard to arrange for the boat and do you get insurance in Europe to cover?

there is a definite shortage for sure- wait till you see the frantic demand for the ST. The dealers have zero knowledge of allocations and people we trying to get on lists when there is really no product.

There are multiple shippers though I know it has become much more expensive recently in line with all shipping . Transit insurance is necessary and not cheap as based on value of the car. Takes about three weeks and you have to allow some flex.

I arranged road insurance through my local broker here.

Great summary of your journey with Porsche to date. Nice of you to recognize the great job done by your SA.

Perfect colour pick on the new RS... Like your previous 7.2, but also like one the two options available on the 996 GT3 RS (which was love at first sight for me).

Thank you for sharing your great experiences, this is what life is about! Amazing how if you just put yourself out there, you meet amazing people, many don't have the courage to do what they truly want in life. And to have met Sabine before her tragic demise, I believe that everyone who touches our lives does so for a reason.
