I can think of a few. But that applies also applies to a few water cooled Porsches. And in the end, it depends on what you like. And hell, I'll take a 959 or a Carrera GT.

Even if I was into a convertible which I am not (I have motorcycles for that), I would not spend that on that car. Glad it is a flat-six though as some of the more recent 718s are.

There was a 993 C2 listed for ~$108K at McLaren Toronto, which had 140,000km on it. Someone apparently bought it, as it is now gone. If someone is willing to pay $108k for a 25 year old base Carrera with that kind of mileage on it, I don't think the price of this Spyder is unreasonable. Porsche has announced that the 718 GT4 and Spyder are no longer available for ordering. Also, the same car on a OPC lot would be at least 10K higher. So, as unfortunate as it is, the price of this car is not really that unreasonable in today's market, IMHO.
