The base TTS is now what I paid for a heavily optioned TTS. With the price increase and lux tax, it’s $42k more. Gross.

Very fortunate I got in when I did. The USA config is charging for euro del too now. I don’t see a charge for it in CDN config however.

I just noticed that they increased freight charges by $1,100 also.

Look at countries where they’ve had obscene taxes on expensive cars for a long time (Australia). I think a GT4 was almost double what it costed (last year and not in BC, OTD) in Canada?

Porsche can raise their prices. Canada and the Provinces can tax them. People will buy them regardless.

The joke I find is they have taken the price increases and lux tax and rolled that delta into the used market inflating prices artificially.
I realize there is a supply and demand proponent to this but when there are over 200 used 992 sitting on dealer lots. I will roll my eyes all day long
Exactly. And the part that kills me is these used cars (both dealers and private) that are baking the current lux tax into their asking price hilariously put "no luxury tax!" in their ad lol.

My car arrives soon and (thank fully) avoided the luxury tax and if it hadn’t, I simply would have passed on the car…same situation with our boat in a that the car and boat I have / had are/ were great and would have been happy to keep them. The math on this is too big for me but I don’t see the win to further alienate the folks most impacted by this. With the market so heated, it doesn’t appear to have mattered to date but I know for me - this is the breaking point.

close to quarter of a million $ for a pedestrian automobile is definitely a sign of the times...

Just last week we locked in a May build for a Taycan 4S. Got in just before these prices.
I put in my configuration today and got this:

2023 to 2024 Price increases, in CAD $

Some of the prices changes above from $0 must be because they've done something with the package configurations.
Crazy huh.

Must be the 18 semiconductors in those 18 way seats LOL

(No, I don't know a damn thing about how semiconductors work or how many there would actually be ;-)

Nope, but might the exchange rate have something to do with it. Last summer a Euro went for $1.38. Presently, it is $1.51 at the same exchange office.
