Default GTA Body Shop Painting Bumper and Few other Things

Hello all

I’m looking for someone to repaint the front bumper of a 2010 997 C4S and to also paint the lip on the inside of 2 wheel wells (prior owner drove through some road paint and for some reason didn’t fix it fast enough and it’s driving me nuts)

From searching some recent threads, the consensus seems to be Luxury Auto Body?

Are people still happy with them / or other alternatives? I’m basically downtown.

what am I looking for to do a R&R and paint?

Cheers

Given your location, I think most people are still happy with Rich at Luxury Auto Body. He's got quite a back log of work but if you speak to him in person or on the phone, he will be able to assess whether he can fit you in sooner or not. He is worth the wait and has gone above and beyond for me. I'm positive there are alternatives where members here have great experiences with to share.

427 Auto Collision is also in Etobicoke.

They host the first PCA UCR event of the season, usually in April. I have no experience with them, but one would figure they know a thing or two…,

Had good results at Avenue Road Collision-they do a lot of Porsches . When I was last there they had a dozen of them.

PCA is holding a tech session there on the 26th. Limited to 50 people. I have registered

They did some work on my volvo daily driver about a dozen years ago. A tree branch fell on the roof. I still have the car, and the repair has lasted. Amazingly enough, they were the cheapest, even tho I have heard othewise on this forum

I will never let 427 touch any car of mine. They really ****ed up my Golf R and wouldn’t even assist. Totally useless IMO.

I have a new painter now and he is awesome.

Just got colour on the 78.

I've always been very happy with European Autobody, I think Manny is running it now - or was last time I was there.

Whoever you use, give your paint 4 weeks to cure and then definitely PPF your front end.
Aftermarket paint will 100% get more stone chips than OEM paint.
I highly recommend Xpel Fusion (built in ceramic coating). I did my entire car with it.

I went to a PCA tech session at 427 auto. Lorenzo said a couple of interesting things:

-Teslas get rear ended a lot because in single pedal mode, no brake lights show

-He claims they can repair your car to the point where an other body shop cannot tell that work was done

He managed to convince me to bring my car there if my '22 suffers damage. On the other hand, I wonder why some rennlisters hate him

You can search for my thread regarding my issue. There are many shops better than 427. And don’t expect them to own up to their own mistakes. Good luck

If I ever need it, for my almost new car, it has to be a porsche certified shop

i like Rich at LAB. I had to talk him into fixing my car, he insisted there were better ways to spend my money, he wanted to just touch it up and not respray it. That's the guy i want.

Tesla Brake lights do come on in single pedal mode when slowing beyond a predetermined threshold.
