Again, what dealership? May as well warn others.
From my experience, relationship with a Service Advisor is pretty key to a positive experience. Downtown is closest to me but I went to Pfaff for years based on my (previous) relationship with them. My SA there was amazing, super responsive and nice to just communicate with her over email vs calling to book with reception. Never had an issue with service there either. Their sales department, different story.
I use PCNT now and they have been excellent. They don't have as many loaners as Pfaff (no one does) but otherwise my SA there Navin is great. True car guy (drives a GT3 + runs track days), super nice, excellent communication, and always very responsive. Always get a follow up call and their parts department is very responsive too.
Had mixed experiences in the past with Downtown... I didn't buy my cars there and in general it felt like they weren't super interested in my business for that reason. They gave me the runaround on a CPO related repair a few years back (resolved by Pfaff without issue) so after that not interested in returning.

AS far as 10,000 km trip to BC, that was me, Toronto to Tofino and return. Many fond memories.
Read my trip report somewhere here:

I did make it past the GTA borders before an issue arose. Headed out from Wawa and check engine light came on. Managed to ignore the light until Porsche Calgary and they diagnosed and reset light. On the turn. light came on in Calgary and I bought tape in Medicine Hat and obscured it! Drove home without issue and DFC took care of the problem ( secondary air injection).
If anyone wants further detail on my BC trip, please don't hesitate to reach out.

I thought it was just me. I've had this experience with Pfaff and Toronto North, same issues as Abe.
Downtown Porsche has been good to me if I need something from the dealership.
Otherwise its Hunter that I go to for everything.

As far as Downtown Porsche, I have a 2001 996 and did niot purchase it there. As a result of Ronan's recommendation. I brought it to DFC to prepare for a 10,000 Km road trip earlier this year. I found the attention to detail and the service to be superb. Indeed, a little more $$ than an Indy bu the Classic car discount helped. I use the same SA as Ronan, Peter Groenke. He is on top of things, a great communicator and was budget conscious as far as work to be performed.

Downtown is awesome.
Couple years ago I wanted to get an oil change done and was told it was a 6 month wait. So the following weekend I took the 15mins extra to drive to North Toronto to get it done since it was still under CPO. Talk about being busy.
