Off-topic: vacation ideas
Assuming the use case is more for people connecting through YYZ via AC. Same goes for the Porsche to your airplane transportation.
if beach isn’t a deal breaker….Fairmont Scottsdale and Four Seasons Troon North (Scottsdale) have been solid choices for me. Great service by the pool…going back a few years though since last visit. Spas on hand for massages and lots of hiking to be done if you want something active.
If you are looking at under 5 hours flying time and want food and beach, then I would do Bahamas or Turks. Bahamas is shorter flight. Ocean Club on Paradise Island or SLS at Baha Mar would be my choices but Ocean Club is more secluded beach. Turks is a bit longer (3.5 hour flight?) but if you want a truly 5+++ star experience, stay at Amanyara. Insanity!
my last trip was Baha Mar in Nassau in Feb. made the mistake of going over both a Canadian & American long weekend so resort was 99% capacity plus staffing sucked as they were hiring/training their way out of COVID. The resort was beautiful but the service was atrocious - that’s aid, I’ve had other friends go and have different experiences so I’d just avoid going over a holiday.
Agreed with Moab. I’ve always wanted to go to Ocean Club (now a Four Seasons but previously a One & Only) in Nassau but my wife never lets me fork out the $$$$.
If you’re going to Baha Mar, there is a Grand Hyatt (where I stayed), SLS and Rosewood. SLS pool seemed to always be pumping the music so if you’re going to party, that’s the spot. If I went back, the Rosewood is more my vibe.
In Turks, I believe Seven Stars is one of the higher rated resorts and there is a Ritz-Carlton on the same stretch. But I follow Amanyara on IG and it looks insane!
The have been in the Bernese Alps for the last week. Weather hasn’t been the greatest but still a great place to relax. Also helps when you can buy Cubans at the grocery store
