Five days is real tough on that timeline. Suggest maybe northern california and do Napa and unwind in an airbnb. Friends did this and loved it. Otherwise into the caribbean but yes hurricane season.
if you are talking AC…for international it’s now signature class.

In September and based on your criteria I would head to Napa / Sonoma. Wineries, fantastic weather, incredible food, scenery. I've been 4 times and am planning to head back in 2023. Rent a convertible and do PCH which is absolutely stunning up to Bodega Bay, Russian River valley. Lots of beaches in the area to hit up as well. San Fran for a day and Sausalito. 5 days is the perfect timeframe.

San Diego could be a good choice. Pre-covid, business flights there were pretty empty so the price was reasonable. You can also day trip into Mexico for some added fun.

If you can tolerate a longer flight, Portugal is pretty nice too.

I'd still consider that business. It's not a true F offering.

J is pretty full these days as some people are still paranoid about covid. The airport upgrades have become affordable for most as well. My wife works for AC and it’s not uncommon for J to start filling up really close to departure sometimes even in the few hours before check in. US trans con J is always full though.

I agree with the Hawaii responses.
Unfortunately no direct flights.
Maui or the Big Island for the 8 day slot.
Or a few days on each.
Hawaii (anywhere away from Honolulu) is incredible

Northern California is beautiful as well.
San Fran, Napa, Monterey, Pacific Grove, Pebble Beach.
af you're a golfer, hit up a course or 2 there in Monterey.
October is the best month for golf weather in that area. And... try a walk on for Pebble Beach and avoid the 2 night stay expense...

I'm generally the same as you for travel. If you're willing to entertain one connection I'd recommend for your 8 day block 4 in Moorea and 4 in Bora Bora. You can fly business from Toronto to LA or Vancouver and hit the second leg also with business with Air Tahiti Nui. We've done this a couple times. Amazing experience, we will go back but I'd like to see Fiji, Bali, and the Maldives first.

Half Moon Bay, Jamaica. Direct flight. Has a couple nice restaurants and golf courses around. The resort is a 10 minute drive from the airport. Great golf too, if you're into that.

As you mentioned... not sure what it's like at that time of the year though.

Other ideas would be San Diego or any six senses resort that has a direct flight nearby.

Jamaica fall = hurricane season/lots of rain. Dec. 1 onwards you're back to lots of sunshine with the odd afternoon shower.

yeah its just rebranded for the inflight experience. Same business class as always with a pod on 777/787. There is a separate lounge though in T1 for international. 3 course served meal, showers etc. Meal was decent.

It;s certainly not Emirates, Eithad etc level.

Exactly. They are in a different league.

Did not see showers in signature suite when I was there but didn't need them.
