Because I don't see a range of options here - I ordered the car, paid a deposit with receipt, and in my case even did a trade in (sell thru sale) late 2021 - I have a signed agreement in 2021 with the price and order details etc,
What else can one do to establish a 'written agreement'?
Anyway tick tock time is running out....

I had also asked my dealer about 1.5 weeks ago and they haven't even received guidelines themselves. So, to your point, they don't even know.
The variable is what constitutes a written agreement. Some say a deposit is not considered a written agreement. Then again, there was no other way as they have no inventory.
It's just so frustrating because nothing is clear.
