The SCRS is original and a great example of one of the 6 Rothmans did. I judged the Preservation class for the 964/993's and it was a tough call on first place but at least all the car in the class were inside. There were pros and cons regarding being inside vs outside. IMO it was a bad decision to allow the cars to stay inside and be judged. The playing field was not level and this is the stuff that will keep me away from attending these anymore. i will judge but not show. I lost to the green 993 cab in my class (pictured above) but they had three days to prep inside and my car was outside in the rain. I had from 5 AM until 7 AM to prep my car before the Judges meeting. I did win the Stuttgart award with a total of 0.6 point deduction or 234.4 out of 235 points. I was dinged for lint I know that wasn't there and dirt that I know wasn't there. I scrubbed the entire area I got a deduction for as I know it was an area of contention. I used a steamer and a scrub brush and checked with a mirror and the dirt on the judges fingers was not a possibility. I have been doing this for too long to know real from BS. Considering I lost by 0.4 tenths against a crew of detailers who had days vs hours I think I did well.
I have no doubt I would have been in contention for best in show if things played out differently. My good friend took BIS with his 997 and I am very happy for him, he has been chasing this for a long time and can now retire fro Concours insanity. It would appear NNJR-PCA swept the floor with awards.
Thanks for the pics. I don't have any of my car at the parade but this was there as well.
IMO every car there was a winner.
The trophies were nice. The green car I lost to by 0.4 points The Stuttgart award for achieving a near perfect score.

I feel bad for you but i find these things very political . Has even happened at our Club events for show and shine. Everyone spent the day cleaning and polishing their cars, then an old time club member shows up last minute drives his car across the freshly cut grass field, car is dirty and covered in grass clippings, he had just picked it up from the dealer a few days before, has back slaps and chats with the judges,, boom first place..
It happens, your car is spectacular. i never show my car as its a driver... i actually showed up at one show and shine one year to watch and there were zero cars in my class, if i had parked it filthy paid 25 bucks to enter, i would have walked away with a first place wining car in my class.. that's just not how i roll.
Stupid things that could be easily resolved does sour the experience but It is all good. I had fun and saw many people I hadn't seen in years and others I would be glad to see again.
The venue was huge with an African theme and lots of family focus. Some of the food was unlikely to have adult appeal.
I had unfortunately gotten a screw in a sidewall on the way down , so drove my (VERY) non-concours Panamera in the TSD rally with occasional stops to pump up the tire. Not easy to source a 21" Pirelli P Zero , but the Porsche dealer in Warrington PA was very helpful and
got a couple of new tires from Pirelli for me, and today I went over there to get the new tires.
I was wandering around the dealer while waiting, and to my great surprise I came across the 997 Sport Classic
that I had only seen once...at the factory:
Obviously the ancestor of the new car seen at Parade:
