Default Prepaid service plan?

Hi everyone:

New to the Porsche world.

The car just arrived at the dealership today and spoke with SA about the prepaid service plan. He quoted me $3000 that covers three years' worth of maintenance services. Just wondering if anyone has experience with it and whether it's worth the price? Has anyone gotten a different price elsewhere in the GTA?
Oh and the SA said it has to been purchase before I take the vehicle. This is certainly very different from when I purchased the prepaid services at Audi.

Thanks a bunch in advance!

if you enjoy large, sharp objects being inserted into your rectum, then I would agree to purchase any of the plans, extras, etc. offered by your SA.

4 years for $4k would be great, but someone can correct me if I’m wrong but, mostly just oil changes the first 3 years.

Never pre-pay for anything. Unless it is like half price...which I don't think it is.

The same 3 year plan was $2,500 in Ottawa when I bought my GTS in December 2020. Wasn't a good deal then.

I've spent maybe $1500-2500 for maintenance and repairs on my boxster in the past 13 yrs of ownership - including installing a new canvas roof.

(not including tires, and trackpads)

if you're looking to save money, learn to wrench on it yourself.... get a degree from the University of YouTube... it's free.

If it is a brand new car/suv and you plan on maintaining it per the owner's manual guidelines under warranty at the dealer, then the pre-paid plan saves you something like 20-25% over paying ala-carte. I service my cars at the dealer during warranty and buy the plan for that time period. I service my out of warranty cars at an indy. This is just my preference.

Not a Porsche for us but I am of the same opinion. It can be beneficial if it's brand new and you follow the factory service intervals. On our grocery getter Toyota, we saved (at the time) 20% and it included some extended warranties.

Get them to take a huge chunk off the price or forget it.

Has anyone confirmed experience of negotiating the pre-paid service plans with Porsche? We actually managed to get a few hundred dollars off and free winter wheels and tires from our Toyota dealership.
