Which dealer did your alignment? Just curious. Mike at PFAFF has been recommended to me , and I know Courtney at DFC.

i dont want to insult a dealer online. it was a GTA area one. all im saying is the dealers have no experience with setting up GT3 or any cars beyond factory specs. and as we all know even factory specs arent working out well when these cars are delivered. why would you want a stock setting alignment?
beyond that i find that the dealers think the customers have no clue and wont set a car up the way you want or ask, they will refer to factory specs and not go deeper into asking you how you want the car to handle.
my fiorano alignments have been awesome, my dealer alignments have been useless and expensive

Courtney is the one i have been discussing my alignment with, he seems capable and will do as to the spec we have agreed on, i will expect a spec sheet after he is done.

JLJ,

FYI, I know that you ordered a "bare-bones" GT3, but there is a white loaded GT3 for sale (new) for approx. mid 160K in town. The guy who is trying to sell it I think got it from PFAFF. Full leather, CF, PCCB and other unnecessary stuff.

Z06,

Saw your GT3 at DFC this am. How much weight are you saving by taking the valve caps off the wheels?:roflmao:

Yongster
Were they working on it?..........it would be nice if they finish it today....

Every little bit helps

I was there at 8 o'clock and your car was still parked in the back by the rear showroom. I mentioned to Courtney that you are having a lot of work done in one day, and he said he'd try to finish it by the end of the day, but wasn't sure.

Figures

Yongster,

When are you picking your car up?

yongster 04-30-2004 03:07 PM

The car is supposed to be ready at 2:30, but I'll probably pick it up around 4 o'clock (got to take my son to soccer practice). If you are around on the weekend, drop by if you want to try the seats (or you can see it at the dealer).

Z06,

Your car was ready when I picked up my car. How is the short shifter? (I guess you haven't tested out the suspension settings yet).

JLJ,

My car broker told me that the owner called to try and sell it to him (I don't think the car has been delivered yet). Also, a guy from the Porsche club bought a US GT3 and brought it over. I thought that wasn't possible.

apparently its totally possible as the car at segal was supposedly a US car. thanks for the info anyway. will we see each other at dexter may 7? im going to watkins glen also on may 15 16 17..not sure which day

All you need mechanically to import the GT3 is daylight running lights, there are a few steps to take but not that difficult, my car is a US model.

from what I was being told by my salesman... there are 2 new GT3s ( 1 Blk & 1 white) @ Pfaff's basement; the people who ordered them are not willing to pick them up. The white 1 does have the PCCB & full leather and the Blk one's got steel brakes, CF shift knob and e-brake.

here are some pix I took...

When i was looking for a GT3 Pfaff said they had a long waiting list for the GT3's and i ended up with a U.S. model
