Default 718 GTS 4.0 Toronto

Itching to order one for a while. What can I expect these days for a wait time from ordering to in my driveway?. If I could go to dealer and buy one right now I probably would. The wait might kill me.

Thanks

Probably a year at minimum unless you get extremely lucky. Builds for 718s across the board are hard to come by apparently, especially the 4.0 cars.

Wow.. Would that 15 be for all Caymans or just GTS 4.0's?..

I am not 100% sure on the exact details. It could be a mix.

How badly do you want one? One for sale in BC, one in Quebec. They are "used" with a substantial markup over MSRP

While the 4.0 engine makes 718 Cayman GTS very appealing, the GT4 is a better investment. But getting one might be even harder than a GTS!

Talking withy my dealer the other week and he said waits as long as 24-32 months for 4.0's and any 911. If you can secure an allocation grab it.

You people do realize that 2022 is the six year of the 718?! 2-3 years?! They will most likely have model year 2023 718, but I highly doubt they will have a model year 2024 718. The new electric model should be out by 2024. Those sales guys have no clue what they are talking about, they just want your deposit.

I will wager that the transition in '24-25 will focus on the turbo 4 product line and the 4.0 line will stick around for a bit longer.

So you think that they are going to make an electric Boxster/Cayman, and also sell the GTS model? The electric Boxster/Cayman will be faster for less money, doesn't make sense. Porsche is keeping the Macan, Macan S, and Macan GTS, and they are coming out with the Macan Turbo with all-electric, so for them to go the complete opposite, I highly doubt it. The GTS 4.0 came out in 2021, so it's likely that they will have a 2023 model year, but I have never seen any GTS model straight for 4 years, so 2024 model year is not likely. These are based on historical facts, not personal wishes.
