You only live once. Time to go for a turbo! There's a 993tt on auction on BAT right now. Here's a nice Arena Red one that sold recently as a price guide...
Just a thought - I think there is a widening difference in price between a WB vs NB? There was always a difference that you may or may not justify, but I suspect that has just expanded beyond any proportion - if that makes sense?
If you want to just drive and enjoy the car, a NB will be 100% of the driving and ownership experience (if not better).
Not easy to find a great one of these either, but if I was buying, I would try to minimize the price insanity and get a RWD 95-97 Carrera. I'd still be paying top dollar, but at least its just stupid vs 1.5X stupid

Good luck!
Cheers

I agree NB 993 can still be had for a reasonable (cough) price but the S cars are on their way to the moon.
Yeah, that's what I thought. I guess depends on what you want to do with the car. I am not unhappy to see values go up, but I also like to drive my cars... so the 993 is perfect for me. Unless I was trying to speculate in the collector market, I would never pay a massive premium to drive a heavier (or worse to me, 4WD) 911.
Took mine to an October DE last fall, just a spectacular day. The GT3 needed some mechanical attention, so the 993 came out to play for the first time in many years. Instructed for the day and had a handful of easy sessions on the 993. I was really happy to be able to do that. What a great little car
I would think a few dollars less than a comparable coupe, but based on Mark's post just above, sounds like well, well over $100K CAD now.
That said, they are older cars and I assume the top dollars are as always going to the best examples w/ the lower miles. With prices now so high, I wouldn't be surpised to see a fairly large range between rough drivers and minty examples.
