Hi, does anyone know if safety certificate is required to register and plate the vehicle if the vehicle is brand new but purchased out of province?
seeing that i can’t drive the spyder in winter, i am looking to purchase a G80 M3 out of province. No one seem to give me a straight answer(even some of mto have different answers)....

F80 driver here. Buying from Quebec? Montreal dealers do this all the time for Ontario customers. We are from Ottawa but bought our new Macan from Montreal. The dealership took care of registering it in Ontario without it first being registered in Quebec, so what you want is possible. I think they get a courier to drive the paperwork to Ontario and do all the dealership stuff there.
I would think that the West Island BMW people would be quite familiar with this since they are only 1 hr from Ontario.

I've heard this a lot. Does anybody know how Quebec dealers wash salvage titles and how to know if this is happening? I've got my eye on some air cooled 911s near Quebec City that seem reasonably priced, but I'm worried about buying a tarted up wreck.

No, i am not buying the car from montreal. Bmw saskatoon has a m3 with the spec i want.
It’s a brand new car so i wasnt sure if the safety is still required to register.

I took delivery of a new 911 in 2019 from BC, I'm in Ontario. It's not an issue at all. Just take the bill of sale and car certificate to Service Ontario and register the car and they will give you plates. Taxes were paid with dealer in BC, paperwork was all I needed.
