I think that might be $2 million at most. The cars are probably stored somewhere inside for the winter. I don't put either of mine away until just before Christmas. 993 stays in my Y & E area garage and the Z is in an apartment underground year round.

One street down from us a guy has a Lamborghini and Bentley street parked, salt in the wound is the double car garage. Too bad the driveway slope would bottom out the cars.
Outside parking ftw! And yes I lived a few streets west of that street. Silly for people above to judge and say “get a house first” or whatever, that’s probably one of the few places in gta you can walk out and see the water from your front. It’s not not exactly a ghetto.
Interesting article in the Star today about rampant car theft. Seems cars end up going in containers to the middle east.
The article recommends Faraday bags to store your remotes. Park your junker behind the good car. They also recommend steering wheel locks. I've heard these are better. These can be removed with a hand held grinder but accessibility is more difficult than a steering wheel lock. I've seen city employees cutting through kryptonite bike locks with a battery powered grinder in about 30s
In the end, it depends how comfortable you are with the risk of theft and vandalism, and how you are going to feel afterwards. You might think that climbing Mt Everest is an acceptable risk. You might think otherwise as you lay dying in a snow drift
Lets face it, what with vandals, thieves, excessive police and insurance companies, car ownership is not as much fun as it used to be.
Cars are disappearing daily in our neighborhood, Lexus and Range Rover are at the top of the list, quite a few of these thefts have been caught on security cameras not that it helps after the fact. Daughters friends Mom has a car stolen from Yorkdale Mall last week after 9 days of ownership.

I just ordered a faraday box to hold the spare fobs that I have upstairs and a couple of faraday pouches for fobs that are kept downstairs.
You CANNOT and should NOT judge a book by its cover- I learned that the hard way many years back. My neighbour in Greece where we have a summer home is unassuming in fact blends in without noticing much about her. She lives in what would perhaps be the "Beaches" location in Toronto except Athens, apartment, well kept but nothing out of the norm. Little did I know ... she could buy all of us on Rennlist and laugh about it ... perhaps that's why she wears it so darn well.

sorry - how does this relate to parking an ostentatious car on a front yard parking pad?

CTV had a story last night about vehicle theft, they showed security cam footage from across the road. The car was gone in 30 seconds. The owner was having dinner and saw the whole thing, he chased after him but they got away.
He said in the story he had a faraday box and the remote was in it. The story suggested the thief took a pic of the vin and somehow was able to recreate a clone remote.
If they want your vehicle they will get it, I had my suv stolen in broad daylight. It was recovered with minimal damage.
