Pulled GT cars out of storage
Off to DFC for service- Few minor items on the 997...frunk struts needed replacement, jammed cupholder ( though I never use the thing), nothing on the 991. The 997 will be 14 years old this Fall.:

I was driving the Pana up Parliament Street this week when a Ford from 51 division waved me to roll down the window. I was trying to figure out what I had down wrong when the office said...
"Spa?".
Plate on the car is EAURUGE and I had actually tracked it there. Friendly young cop actually, and he was just curious about the plate. Quick pickup on his part.

I don't image you went full throttle no lift through eau rouge?
funny story a famous coach at Watkins Glen told me a story when he was racing formula one at Spa and the driver's were all asking who lifts going through eau rouge and a young Senna said he can do it but is faster if he lifts. the other driver's laughed at him. He went on to become the Senna we know....

Definitely did not go full throttle through Eau Rouge!.
It is a challenging track and there were three bad accidents on the day ( closed track day), including a new GT3. Obviously the Pana is not a track car but it was much better than it had to be. Main problem was brakes and tires heating up very quickly so had to come in periodically.I've had an RS there which is a very different proposition. Beautiful place and way faster than the Nordschleife.

It is a carefully designed vibrating cupholder that harmonizes with the hard suspension to it can shake the lid off a cup of hot coffee and burn the passenger. ( Actually only useful for a water bottle with the top on)
