Yes and we stayed for 2 weeks. You'd never know it was family day. Lots of snow and very limited, if any lines Monday to Thursday No lines the second week. Folks start to roll in Friday and the weekend is packed. Singles line is tolerable. Only need a "face covering" like a balaclava or buff in line and on the lift if you're with a stranger. We carried a mask for the lodge. What curfew?

Managed to get out to Tremblant for a 4 day weekend. Weekdays were dead. Temps were good at the peak and there was no ice. It was great. Managed to get my toddler a lesson at Mont Blanc. Shocking how much better he listens to a stranger than me!

Hit up Glen Eden this past weekend. Magic carpet with the kid was decent, crowds were pretty good from the looks of things. Weather over the next week's should be interesting. Going to book again for next weekend.

Good parents, don’t teach.
They hire a pro, kids listen to them. 😉

Ha. That is very obvious now. Was an instructor long ago but he responded so much better to the hired instructor. Hopefully next year the lessons are back in Ontario.

^ I was partially successful teaching my kids (in the end they did get a mix of myself and instructors), teaching my wife was/is another story. LOL So glad that blue is offering some daily classes in place of the canceled racing programs, my son was thrilled. The snow was very soft on Saturday but at least the rain missed us.

my kids are ok skiiers, they've only had lessons a few times... usually once or twice on a trip to a big hill. Beaver Creek, Fernie, Jay Peak, Tremblant....

they hated them....Beaver Creek was when the kids were 5+7, it was close to $500CDN/day back in 2010 (which was way more than my daily take home pay).... It was funny, because the 7 yr old daughter said she was hungry because they didn't have something she liked for lunch.... I said for the amount we paid, she could get whatever she wanted for lunch! She just wanted mac and cheese....

it was kinda funny...

Now they're 15&17; so they're too old to 'make' take lessons... They are good enough to enjoy any run on the hill, we'll just leave it at that...

We put the kids in lessons at Uplands (Yonge & 407) when they were 4, lessons faded away by the time they were 11. They are 13 now and I struggle to keep up to them on my board these days.

We went to Glen Eden of Friday... PACKED. I don't understand the 4 hour blocks, The parking lot was full and the lines were longer than any other time we have ever been. We were just happy to get out though. Tremblant will have to wait until next year, Work is too busy.

I found kids could pick up fancy bump stuff like turning on the inside edge quite quickly but adults......the old dog story.

Yeah, I learned at Mount Chicopee.... my parents let me do a few ski lessons between gr6-8.... I missed out on the bumps part, the bumps there are not natural. I took a few lessons after university, and am a decent skier, just need to pick my way down bumps.

Yeah when the kids were 12-14yrs old, they could ski down faster than ma and pa on any big hill.... which was ok, if they could navigate.... a couple times we ended up on the wrong side of the mountain from our planned route...

Agreed, we always go early. My son has been in race training, nice that they salvaged part of the program for this year.

Last ski day tomorrow, and my sons final U12 training session.

I have a feeling I may spend more time sitting in my car than skiing on the pile of ice.
