Hello Everyone!
Does any know of a Canadian supplier of custom Tie-downs and straps?
I am looking for Lasso straps specifically.
There are some good US vendors with very comprehensive web sites but the shipping charges to Canada are outrageous !!!
Ordering stuff from the US without the possibility of picking up the goods at the border is making cross-border shopping too expensive.

Search for towing equipment vendors.
We bought all our trailer tie down equipment from one in Toronto (there are several)
There should also be several in Montreal.
...for example

No sure what you are trying to do but the best way to strap down your 996 is using the holes in the frame. Cross the straps( 2 - 2.5") front and rear and use those holes. Traveled several thousands of miles and never had an issue. Using the wheels is not the best idea.

Hmmm .... think i should rethink my tow setup. Been running straps through the wheels for years. Is the reason for strapping to the chassis to eliminate vehicle movement on the suspension?

Not really suspension but alignment . If you strap to the wheels you are pulling them around. By attaching to the frame you are just squashing the car down, it doesn't move around as much and you are not pulling the wheels in odd directions.

I really wasn't looking to fire up a how to tie-down debate.
Ive been successfully transporting my car by tying through the wheels for more than 10 years.
I was simply looking for Canadian suppliers/vendors for straps and ratchets.
